Position: Home Manager
Location: Grasmere House
Salary: Negotiable
Hours: 40 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Registered Home Manager to lead a 41-bed nursing home providing high-quality care for older people in Horsham, West Sussex. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring exceptional care standards, regulatory compliance, staff development, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the home's operations.
- Ensure high standards of person-centred nursing care are maintained.
- Supervise, support, and develop care and nursing staff.
- Maintain compliance with CQC and other regulatory requirements.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and local authorities.
- Conduct audits and monitor quality assurance systems.
- Manage budgets and commercial performance.
- Drive occupancy, reputation, and continuous service improvement.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Home Manager role.
- Experience managing a residential or nursing care service.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Proven knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality standards.
- Enhanced DBS/PVG clearance.
- Active NMC registration (Registered Nurse)
- Demonstrable success achieving positive CQC inspection outcomes.
- Experience marketing a care home and maintaining high occupancy levels.
- Commercial awareness and budget management experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior management, regulators, and external stakeholders.
